Adele with Tinie Tempah and Elbow will fight it our at the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize for this year.

PJ Harvey also nomiated, who won the award a decade ago for Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea.

For this year one of the UK’s best selling albums, Adele’s 21 will have stiff competition up against Build a Rocket Boys by Elbow - who won in 2009 - and Tinie Tempah, nominated for debut Disc-Overy.

The winner will be announced on 6th September.

Adele returned to the stage on Thursday (07Jul11)

British soul star Adele on Thursday (07Jul11) at the first stage of the disease after coming back to the throat of the North American tour, singer forced to scrap.

During her live comeback, Adele performed a mix of tracks from her hit albums 19 and 21, and also treated fans to a cover of Bonnie Raitt's hit I Can't Make You Love Me.
