Adele is the birth name of Adele Laurie Blue Adkins. She is an English singer-songwriter. She has lauched one studio album called 19, which was issued under XL Recordings in January 2008. Numerous singles from 19 charted on the United States' Billboard charts and the United Kingdom's Singles Chart, including "Chasing Pavements", "Cold Shoulder", "Hometown Glory", and "Make You Feel My Love".
The victory of Adele's debut album won her two awards: Best Jazz Act from the Urban Music Awards and opponent’s Choice from The BRIT Awards. For "Chasing Pavements", Adele arrived seven nominations, including three from the Grammy Awards (Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance) and one each from the MTV Video Music Awards, mtvU Woodie Awards, and the Q Awards. Overall, Adele has got 6 awards from 18 nominations.
